Colin Johnson For Walden Alderman

  • Tuesday, October 20, 2020

I feel that the alderman election in Walden has drawn lines, not with the candidates, but rather over a grocery project that was decided well before this election.  It is now up to us as residents to pick a candidate that will represent the people of Walden and do what is best for us.  I have chosen to support Colin Johnson for alderman for many reasons.

First, there is no better equipped candidate to oversee the looming construction/re-development of the Orchard Lines project.  Colin, as an professional engineer, is by far the best fit to oversee and manage all aspects of the project that has already been approved.  I think we need someone who will manage the development and ensure it fits in with our town setting.

Secondly, from the time he and his family moved here he has been active in all aspects of our town.  He is an active leader in our church and coaches youth soccer, among other philanthropic activities.

Third, I feel like he represents a large portion of Walden and its growth.  He is a younger family man that has chosen to make Walden his home for many years to come.  He will have the best long term interest of the town in mind, as he makes decisions for our future.

Lastly, I have gotten to know Colin on a personal level for over four years.  He is a leader in every sense of the word.  From managing his local engineering firm to his civic involvement with church and sports, he is the one that is in charge.  He brings experienced leadership and a thorough understanding of construction and planning that will enhance our community.
