Lorraine Joyner
Lorraine Appleberry Joyner, 56, of Chattanooga, passed away on Sunday, October 11, 2020, at her residence.
She was a graduate of Howard High School. She retired from Erlanger Health System. Lorraine was a faithful baptized member of Jehovah’s Witnesses and attended Mountainview Congregation.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Rufus and Katherine Appleberry, Jr.; sisters, Frances Crawford and Mary Davis; brothers, David Earl Appleberry and Melvin Appleberry.
Survivors include her children, Javon Jackson, twins, Audrey Justice, Adrian Justice, and Chauncey Justice; nine grandchildren; sisters, twin Lisa (Labron) Coleman, Venus (Michael) McGhaee, and Janet Pritchett; brothers, Robert (Aljanette) Crawford, Dennis (Darlene) Appleberry, John Scott Appleberry, Prince Charles Appleberry, Fred Appleberry, and Kevin Appleberry; 10 nieces; 10 nephews; uncles, Tracy Appleberry, Michael Appleberry, Eric Appleberry, Mark Appleberry; aunts, Marylene Appleberry, Ora Meredith, and Tammy Copeland; friends, Lynn Reeves and Felicia Green; a host of cousins; other relatives and loving friends.
Lorraine will lie in state on Thursday, Oct. 22, 2020 from 1-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held via Zoom on Saturday at 2 p.m. with Brother Kimsey Sutton.
