I am also against Ms. Mott speaking to students. How did this happen? Were the parents told of the activity? Are protocols in place to prevent things like this from happening? Should speakers be thoroughly vetted before being allowed to speak to students? Did the teacher, Ms. Henson, get permission from the principal, Mr. Carpenter?
This is a serious error in judgment by two professionals. Does this mean anyone can speak to our students while under the care of the school?
In my opinion, no one should be allowed to speak to HCDE students without permission from the superintendent or his representative.
