Students will pitch creative business ideas at an online pitch competition hosted by the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga’s Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship and sponsored by the Downtown Council of the Chattanooga Chamber of Commerce and EPB.
“As a Council, we were excited to support Hatch It! and the UTC students who are pitching in the competition,” said Amy Donahue, Downtown Council board member. “While the competition is exciting as is, we also want UTC students to feel supported by the local business community so that when their time at UTC comes to a close, graduates feel they can start their professional careers or launch their entrepreneurial dreams right here in the Scenic City.”
Special guest KaDeadra McNealy, founder of Chattanooga's Millennial Nail Bar, will speak live to the audience during judge deliberations.
The winning team will receive free legal services, commercial banking and finance coaching, digital marking coaching and accounting consultation.
“We’re excited to bring a new dimension to our fall pitch competition by engaging our business community," said Libby Santin, UTC's director of Innovation & Entrepreneurship. "They’ll be supporting our student participants through pre-event coaching and post-event support with various areas of expertise.”
