Betty JoAnn Donovan, 74, of Chattanooga, passed away on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at her home. She was born on Aug. 5, 1946 in Higdon, Al., but spent most of her life in the Chattanooga area. Betty enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, traveling and collecting turtles.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Waymon and Virtie Gass Horton; seven brothers; and two sisters.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her children, Reuben Brian (Katie) Donovan, Jeremy Donovan and Wendy (Tommy) Crump; grandchildren, Melissa (Daniel) Fletcher, Michael Crump, Amiee (Jonathan) Davis, Cameron Crump, Foster Donovan, Naomi Donovan and Eóin Donovan; eight great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Epilepsy Foundation in Betty’s honor.
