Josephine Dora Helton, 97, of Dayton, died on October 28, 2020, with her family by her side.
She was a member of the Dayton Church of Christ. She will always be remembered for her hospitality, her love of feeding people and her delicious eggplant parmigiana.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Theodore Norwood Helton and grandson John Joseph O’Riley III(Joey).
Survivors include her daughter, Lisa (Noel) Curtin, her granddaughters, Jamie (Brandon) Sneed and Kasey Curtin, her great-grandsons, Gauge and Nicholas Sneed all of Dayton, granddaughter, April Curtin of Chattanooga; her niece, Jeannette Tramontano, her great-niece, Jennifer (John) Sanders, her great-great-nephews, Henry and Harrison Sanders all of Nashville; her nephew, Ronnie (Judy) Tramontano of New York; and many other nieces and nephews.
The family wants to give their sincere thanks to the staff of The Courtyard at Deer Ridge and Hearth Hospice for their loving care of Josephine.
There will be a small family service graveside. She will be buried alongside of her husband in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
