Virginia Fulmer
Virginia Jo Fulmer, 88, of Chattanooga was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Wednesday, October 28, 2020. She passed from this life peacefully at her home in Red Bank.
Mrs. Fulmer was a lifelong resident of Red Bank. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church, and graduated from Red Bank High School in 1950. She retired from First Tennessee Bank/First Horizon Bank after 35 years of service. Virginia’s fondest memories were her vacations with husband, Tommy, to Florida’s Gulf Coast and her daily conversations with her sister, Johnnie Jernigan.
Surviving are her stepchildren, Michael Fulmer, Kimberly Fulmer, Karen Delashmitt; stepbrothers, Larry Tallent and Phil Tallent, nephew, Van Jernigan, his wife Carolyn Kaufman.
The family would like to offer their most sincere gratitude to caregiver and companion, Jennifer Carmichael.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 39 years, Thomas F. Fulmer; parents, John and Aliene Crerar; Primary caregivers, William and Addie Crerar, daughter, Linda Grey Atchley; sister, Johnie Mae Jernigan; and brother, Doyle Edward Crerar.
The family will receive friends at 1 p.m. on Nov. 3, at the funeral home.
Graveside services will follow at 2 p.m. at Hamilton Memorial Gardens, with Reverend Bill Harvey officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Red Bank Baptist Church 4000 Dayton Blvd., Red Bank, Tn. 37415 in honor of Virginia Jo “Jean” Fulmer and Thomas “Tommy” Fulmer.
