Dewey Sneed
Dewey Mack Sneed, 87, of Dayton, passed away at his home Tuesday morning, October 6, 2020.
He was born in Dayton on Nov. 2, 1932, the son of the late Maynard and Alice (Kennedy) Sneed. Dewey was also preceded in death by his children, Joey Sneed, Tommy Stone, Glen Stone and Roger Stone; and his sisters, Wilma Sneed, Lucille Sneed and Deana Sneed.
Dewey served his country with the US Army. He had owned and operated his own across country semi trucking company. He enjoyed traveling and was a member of the White Oak Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Norma (Boston) Chambers Sneed of Dayton and his children, Vickie Hughes of Mountainburg, AR, Linda Mason of Fort Smith, AR, Robin Derbyshire of Middlefield, OH, Jimmy (Christie) Stone of Dayton, Susan (Jerry) Oldham of Dayton, Linda (Jeff) Flint of Nashville, Ben Stone of Dayton, Greg (Kristi) Stone of Chattanooga, and Steven (Kim) Brock of Dayton. He is also survived by his brothers Dennis Sneed of Arkansas along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services with military honors for Dewey will be held Friday, Oct. 9, at 1 p.m. in Rhea Memory Gardens with his friend, Reverend Bart Slikker officiating.
