After the midnight hour on Monday, November 16, 2020, the Lord guided David Arthur Nelson to his heavenly home after a long illness. David was 57 years old and a lifetime resident of Chattanooga.   

He had been self employed as a mechanic.   David was born on January 14, 1963 to Bobby and Bonnie Nelson.  

David loved working with his farm and any heavy equipment.   His loved his family, friends and his special dog, Skittles and his son Lee’s cat, Mason. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Nelson and Bonnie Ladd Nelson.

David leaves his memories to his son, William “Lee” Nelson; sister, Tammy “Gay” Nelson; nephews, Cody, Aaron & Devon Warnock along with a host of friends.

The family will have visitation on Wednesday, Nov. 18, from 4-8 p.m. CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tn.

The graveside service will be held on Thursday, Nov. 19, at 1 p.m. CT at Tennessee-Georgia Cemetery, Hogan Road in Rossville, with Pastor Doyle Chamblee officiating.

Pallbearers are Terry Tipton, Robbie Plemons, Jeff Thomas, Bobby Tuders, Stanley King, Melvin Taylor and Johnathon Monteagth.

The family is requesting in lieu of flowers, please made donations to Tate Funeral Home for David’s funeral expenses.
