Jackson Logan
Jackson “Lump” Logan, 71, of Chattanooga, sadly passed away on the morning of November 25, 2020.
Mr. Logan was a graduate of Riverside High School and Lane College. He was a longtime resident of the Westside community. He served the Chattanooga community as a coach and mentor for various recreation centers, the Boy’s Club, and YMCA. He also served faithfully as a deacon at St. James Baptist Church of Chattanooga.
Born on April 7, 1949, he was preceded in death by parents, John Logan Sr. and Mattie Carrie Logan; brothers, James O. Logan and John Logan Jr. He is survived by his wife, Imogene Calloway Logan; sons, Mizelle Calloway, Nashville, TN, and Ronald Allen, Chattanooga; sisters, Yvonne Jackson and Betty Logan, Chattanooga; brothers, Felix Logan, Chattanooga; Russell Logan, West VA; grandchildren and great-grandchildren; other siblings, Angela, Lucinda, Alonzo, Michael, and Diana Banks of Dayton, TN; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other family members.
A public viewing will be held from 2-6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 3, at the funeral home. A private family funeral service will be held.
Interment will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
