William Myers
On Tuesday night on November 25, 2020, the Lord guided William Leon Myres to his heavenly home. William was 80, and from Jasper, Tennessee.
He had been a resident of Jasper since 1969. He was married to Loretta Miller Myres. William was born on September 25, 1940 to Leon and Eleanor Aiken Myres. Before his retirement, William had been a third shift supervisor for TVA of Willows Creek.
William was of the Baptist faith and worshipped his Lord and savior. He had been devoted and loved his family along to his career at TVA, loved working with his co-workers in welding and family reunions. In his pastime, he enjoyed watching football along with other sports, fishing and camping.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Eleanor Myres; and sisters, Barbara Huddleston and Jean Honeycutt.
William leaves his memories to his wife of 54 years, Loretta Miller Myres; sons, Timothy Myres and Jeffery Steven Myres; daughter, Cheryl (Jack) Carson; grandchildren, Tara Carson and Jessica Carson; great-grandchildren, Cayden, Daylan, Kaylee and Hannah Carson along with a host of amazing friends.
The family will have visitation on Wednesday, Dec. 2, from 1-2 p.m. CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.
The graveside service will follow the visitation at 2:30 p.m. CT at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, with Pastor David Berry officiating.
