Re: 3 People Murdered In Same Oak Grove Neighborhood

So where is the BLM crew? Where are the "Concerned Clergy?" For that matter where is Brenda?

And most importantly where is the "Defund the Police" crowd.

We're still here, Douglas. I'll admit. I can't resist the temptation. I'll 'bite'.

Don't gloat, Douglas. Don't get all giddy and slap knee. You don't want to know what I think. Have been thinking for a very long time now. I'll give you a clue though. And you can figure out the rest.

I'll just say over the years, decades even, it would appear these upticks in 'crime', especially right around election times and some politician, or one who wants to be, is running on a platform of 'taking a bite out of crime', they all seem to fit a pattern and rhythm. You know what I'm saying? Just sayin'.

A lot of it seems to be manufactured just to fit someone's, plural or singular, narrative. These targeted areas have been left so fragile, destabilized and on the brink of total collapse over the decades that all it takes is a rumor for all heck to break loose. That's why I cringe and become nervous when I hear or read where a politician or wannabe politician uses crime as a major background in running for some office.

Police already have all the tools they need at their disposal. They don't need any more. The problem is how those tools have been used, misused and/or abused over the last several decades.

There! How's that, Douglas? Bite back if you desire.

Brenda,

I’m pretty sure nobody is contesting the fact that there have been issues with police in the past, present and will continue to be in the future.  We can educate ourselves going forward as citizens no matter what our race and progress without burning and looting our communities as no profession is perfect nor will it ever be.

With that being said, I think the point that Mr. Jones was trying to make and the elephant in the room is if  .01 percent of deaths are occurring at the hands of police and the other 99.99 percent of violence is not, why are there not protests in the streets for the thousands of other victims?

I have had employees that have been impacted first hand by these senseless murders in Chattanooga and they want to know why there is no outrage as well from these “activists” who only preach and demonstrate during “election time”.   It breaks my heart looking into their eyes as I feel their pain and frustration as we are all family at heart.

Please feel free to “bite back” anytime but as of right now my thoughts are with my family.
