Sister Shank and Sister Albright have been called to serve in the Tennessee Knoxville Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They have been assigned to Dayton. Like many young women of the restored Church, they serve for 18 months, at their own expense, without pay. During their mission, they are assigned to different locations within the geographic boundaries of their mission. The Tennessee Knoxville Mission includes Dayton and the greater Chattanooga area.
Sister Shank is from Burley, Id.
and is the sixth of six siblings. She has been on her mission for two months. Sister Shank said, “Every day of my mission is so sweet and dear to me because we have the opportunity to share the message of Christ. I love Jesus Christ and owe Him everything. Jesus Christ is the Savior of the world, the Son of God, our Lord and Redeemer forever. He lives and is waiting for His sheep to come back to Him. One of my favorite quotes is from Elder Dieter F. Uchtdorf of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles. He says, ‘Just as the Good Shepherd finds His lost sheep, if you will only lift up your heart to the Savior of the world, He will find you.' This is our message, too. We invite everyone to lift up your hearts and come to the Savior. ‘He will place you on His shoulders and carry you home,’ just as Elder Uchtdorf says.”
Sister Albright is from Las Vegas, Nv. and is the fourth of five siblings. She has been on her mission for 17 months. “I have never experienced more happiness than I have while serving a mission for my Savior, Jesus Christ,” Sister Albright said. “It is the greatest privilege to represent Him and share His gospel. I know that by giving Him everything, holding nothing back, we find true joy. Jesus is the Light of the World. He is what makes us worth something. He makes life worth living. If you want to be happy, if you want peace, then come unto Christ. He is waiting for you with His arms wide open. He wants to make you whole. We will help you find Him.”
Sister Shank and Sister Albright also invite everyone to "put Christ in your Christmas" and Light the World One by One at https://www.comeuntochrist.org/light-the-world-2020.
