Wold, Martha Jane (Morton)

Martha Jane (Morton) Wold, 57, of the West Brow community Lookout Mountain, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 24, 2020, at her home, surrounded by her loving family.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Lookout Mountain and was recently retired from Erlanger Health System as a radiologic technologist for 35 years.

Martha graduated from Chattanooga State Community College in 1985, with an associate of science in radiologic technology. Her career included director of radiology at Downtown General Hospital and Vencor Hospital, both formerly located in Chattanooga. She taught as a clinical instructor at Chattanooga State Community College, Chattanooga. She was trained in C.T. and surgical radiographic technology in addition to her other career positions and achievements.

She was a member of Slygo Valley Holiness Church, where she dedicated her life to serving the Lord, and was fulfilled by helping others. She will be missed immensely by her family and friends, who loved her so dear.

She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Morton; and her brothers, Jerry Morton and Bill Morton.

Left to cherish her memories are her best friend and loving husband of 32½ years, Phillip Allen Wold; her daughter (her only and baby girl), Lauren Alexis Morton Wold, all of Lookout Mountain; step-daughter, Allison Anderson, of Cleveland; mother, Helen Morton, of Lookout Mountain; sister, Teresa (Freeman) Harmon, of Lookout Mountain; sister-in-law, Tracie (Donnie) Morton Walker, of Wildwood; and nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

Services will be held on Wednesday at 2 p.m. in the chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, with Brother Bobby House, Brother Donnie Walker and Brother Ollie Taylor officiating. Interment will follow in Lake Hills Memorial Gardens, 206 Lake Hills Dr. in Trenton.

Services will be livestreamed at https://www.discoverdade.com/moorestream.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 2-8 p.m. and Wednesday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m.
