Covenant Women Begin Season Saturday At Mercer

 The Covenant women's basketball team will begin its 2020-21 season over the next week as head coach Skylar Bareford announced the team's upcoming schedule.

The Scots will open the season with an exhibition at Division I foe Mercer on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Macon, Ga., inside Hawkins Arena. The game will be a regular season contest for Mercer (1-2) and will mark the first meeting between the teams.

Tickets are available for $1 and can be purchased through mercerbears.com.
The game will also be available on ESPN+ (subscription required).

Next week, Covenant will travel to Birmingham Southern for the Richard Dardenne Memorial Classic. The Scots will play three games over three days starting with host Birmingham Southern on Dec. 9 at 2 p.m. On Dec. 10, Covenant will take on Belhaven at 8 p.m., before wrapping up the classic on Dec. 11 against East Texas Baptist at 5 p.m.

Covenant will look to add more games to its non-conference schedule. The USA South schedule has yet to be released by the league.
