Erica Rios

Erica Lynn Webb Rios left her earthly home on January 28, 2020 to enter the gates of heaven.

Erica was 30 years old and lived in Hixson, Tennessee.   She grew up in Jasper, TN and also a graduate from the Class of 2007 at Marion County High School.   In high school she was a volunteer fire fighter for Jasper Fire Department.

She was employed at her and her husband’s family restaurant Rafael’s in Hixon, TN.  Erica was of the Baptist faith and attended Jasper New Beginnings Church in Jasper, TN.

How do you describe Erica? Erica was full of life, energy, a girl that flew by the seat of her pants and nothing stopped her from conquering her dreams. She was very generous, loved her “Papi” (her husband Julio Cesar Rios), her children, her momma, daddy, sisters, brother, and her huge extended family.

In Erica’s spare time, her memories were being a photographer, traveling and spending all her quality time with her children and Papi.

Erica was a selfless young lady and this was shown by her being a donor at the time of her death.   By her generosity she gave life to four recipients by donating her heart (New York), kidneys and liver (Nashville). Her life was cut short however she lives on through giving life to others.

She was preceded in death by her father, Bobby Garland Webb; maternal grandfather, Robert Stanley Hewitt; paternal grandmothers, Christine Middleton Webb and Virginia Haynes; and paternal grandfathers, Robert Eugene Webb and W.G. Haynes.

Those left to cherish her memories are her husband and second father to her two children, Julio Cesar " Papi" Rios; children, Alexis Lynn Cotton, William Joshua Cotton, Jr., and Brandy Rios; parents, Susan and Clay Haynes; adopted parents, Sherry and Jesse Cotton; father of her children, Joshua Cotton, Sr.; brother, Adam Andrew Webb (Bridgett); sisters, Amanda Sue Tucker (Christopher Martin) and Christy Haynes (Joel Greene); sister-law, Alma Bravo; maternal grandmother, Mildred Ciesla; father and mother in law, Fermin and Lidia Rios; nephews, Caleb Tucker, Gavin Webb, Christian Munn and Gabby Bravo; niece, Jayden Bravo;  great-aunts, Shirley Britt and Marlene Funk; best friend, Sarah Matthews; special Aunt Patty and her family, and four recipients that will carry on her legend along with numerous cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends.

The family will have visitation on Sunday, Feb. 9, from 1 p.m. CT to 3 p.m. CT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper.

A “Celebration of Life” ceremony will be held following the visitation on Feb. 9, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Tate Funeral Home.

Funeral arrangements entrusted to Tate Funeral Home, LLC, 950 Mel Dixon Lane, Jasper, TN 37347, 423-942-9500. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.tatefh.com.
