Margie “Mart” Raulston Willett passed away at her home in Destin, Florida. 

 

Mart was the third daughter of Jack and Lois Raulston and granddaughter of E.B. and Emma Ellison Raulston and John and Nell Forester Blalock.

 

She was a graduate of the Red Bank High School Class of 1970 and of the University of Tennessee Chattanooga where she earned a bachelor’s degree in education and a master’s degree in special education.  She taught for several years in Hamilton County Schools and, in later years, moved to Destin to take care of her ailing mother.

 

She was a generous and kind person who would help anyone.  She had a quick smile and loved dancing, sports, fishing, gathering with friends and family, and playing basketball for Hutch Lewis. 

 

She was preceded in death by her parents, her grandparents, and her sister, Jody Raulston Godwin.

 

She is survived by her son, Trey Willett; her sisters, Link Raulston Sparks (Bill) and Tina Raulston Myers; nephews, Scott Sparks, Chip Godwin, Casey Godwin, and Chris Godwin; and niece, Stacie Sparks Hand.

 

The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 22, at the chapel of Devotion at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.  Interment will follow on Saturday, in the chapel of Devotion.
