Velda Price
Velda R. Price, 76, passed away on Tuesday, February 18, 2020, in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
She was born May 6, 1943, to Clarence and Bertha Henderson. Velda was an employee of Baylor School for over 30 years before retiring in 2009.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Bertha Henderson; father, Clarence Henderson; sister, Sue Scott; husband, William R. Price and grandson, Wesley A. Nash.
She is survived by daughter, Dianna McCoy (Philip); son, Larry Nash (Valerie); daughter, Amorea Trew (Mark); son, Sean Price (Martha); grandchildren, Zachary Schulz (Stevie), Cullen McCoy (Abby), Gary Nash, Tallon Trew, Amber Gilley (Jake), Esther Trew, four great-grandchildren; brothers, Junior (Wanda Sue) Henderson, Dwight (Sue) Henderson, and Marvin (Norma) Henderson.
She attended River of Life Church in Sevierville, Tn. and Brainerd Hills Church of God in Chattanooga.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, Feb. 20, from 5-8 p.m. and 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 21, in Brainerd Hills Church of God. The Reverend Victor Alley will conduct the funeral at 1 p.m. on Friday in the church. Interment will follow at Chattanooga Memorial Park.
