Jacque Hambrick
A man that authorities say has multiple felony convictions has been sentenced to serve three years in federal prison after being found with a gun and ammunition following a traffic stop.
Jacque Hambrick, 29, appeared before Federal Judge Sandy Mattice. He will be on supervised release for three years after he gets out of prison.
East Ridge Police, on Oct. 4, 2018, stopped a vehicle being driven by Hambrick. Officers noted a strong smell of marijuana.
In a tan backseat in the back seat, they found a digital scale, an AR-15 magazine loaded with 30 .223 bullets, 74 loose rounds of .40-caliber ammunition, and a loaded Glock .40-caliber revolver.
Hambrick said someone had been trying to shoot him in the past week. He said he had bought the Glock a month earlier for protection.
Hambrick earlier served seven years for an aggravated robbery.
