Organized Litter

  • Thursday, February 27, 2020

I was shocked this week when the usual weekly delivery of rubbish was not delivered on the eve of trash day.  You know, that yellow wrapped pile of trash that I never subscribed to that gets thrown in yards across the city every week.

Sadly the majority usually get thrown directly into the trash or recycle can and even worse the citizens that are truly frustrated just leave it in the driveway to disintegrate or throw it back into the street or a convenient ditch (I don’t condone the latter options and am usually the one picking these papers up when I do my trash walks around the neighborhood).

At least we had one week of reprieve in my area and my trash bag will be all but empty after doing my walk.

With all that being said, I wonder how many citizens called in to complain that their weekly non-subscription was not delivered?  I have a hunch zero, which should tell the offending party something, but there is obviously profit in organized littering so I’m not holding my breath.
