Earl “Wood” Casey passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 26, 2020, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.

Wood was a native of Chattanooga, born on Jan. 17, 1926, to the late Arthur and Pearl Casey. He served our country during World War II in the U.S. Navy. Wood was a member of Brainerd Lodge F&AM 736, Alhambra Shrine, and VFW Post 1289.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary L. Casey, and his daughter-in-law, Kathryn Casey.

Survivors include his son, Ronald W. Casey; son, Glenn E. Casey and wife Sherrill; daughter, Sandra Hoste and husband, Rick; 6 grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and 4 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 1, from 2-5 p.m. and on Monday, March 2, from 12-1 p.m. at Chattanooga Funeral Home North Chapel, Hixson.

There will be a graveside service with military honors at Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Monday at 1 p.m., officiated by Pastor Tony Leonard of Graceworks Church.

Arrangements are under the care of the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson.
