The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga women’s tennis team travels to South Carolina for two road matches this weekend. The Mocs open Southern Conference play on Friday at Furman and take on Presbyterian on Saturday in non-conference action.
The match against the Paladins is set for 3:00 p.m. (E.S.T.) on March 28 in Greenville, S.C. A link for live scoring for the Furman match is available on the women’s tennis schedule page on GoMocs.com. First serve against the Blue Hose is Saturday, March 29, at 11:00 a.m.

The Mocs are 6-4 overall, including a 6-1 win against UT Martin in Murfreesboro, Tenn., on Sunday. Junior Emma Van Hee earned her first SoCon Player of the Week honor after going 2-0 in singles and 2-1 in doubles last weekend.
Van Hee teamed with sophomore Caroline Gibbens to knock off Tennessee’s No. 8-ranked duo of Kaitlin Staines and Tenika McGiffin on Friday for the Mocs’ signature win of the spring. Van Hee and Gibbens are 5-5 overall in the spring.
Freshman Jessie Young is off to a 5-4 start at No. 1 singles. She and junior Bogdana Zaporozhets are also 8-1 at No. 2 doubles.
Furman is up to No. 37 in this week's Oracle/Intercollegiate Tennis Association Division I poll, its highest ranking in program history. The Paladins are 10-3 overall and riding an eight-match winning streak.
Two-time reigning SoCon Player of the Year, senior Katarina Kozarov, is No. 14 in singles and 9-0 at No. 1. Kozarov and sophomore Julia Adams, the reigning SoCon Freshman of the Year, are No. 27 in the nation with a 6-0 doubles record.
UTC is 10-38 all-time against Furman, with just two wins against the Paladins since 1992. Furman has won the last four, with Chattanooga’s most recent win a 4-3 decision on March 29, 2015.
Presbyterian is 0-6 overall, including a 6-1 setback on Saturday to Georgia Southern. This is the first meeting between PC and Chattanooga.
