CFC Signs Midfielder Carr And Defender Reynolds

  • Thursday, February 27, 2020

Chattanooga Football Club is thrilled to announce the signing of midfielder Kyle Carr and defender Sean Reynolds for the historic 2020 campaign with NISA. Kyle comes to the Scenic City from USL One franchise Lansing Ignite, where he was viewed as a lynchpin at the base of the midfield and a steadfast, consistent player.

“I’m very excited to play in Chattanooga for Chattanooga FC” said Carr. “I’ve heard so much about The Chattahooligans, and heard really great things about the community, I can’t wait to get out and explore the area, go hiking, and really get rooted in the city.”

Carr excelled in Lansing, starting 10 of the first 12 matches for the Ignite. The Florida native stood out on the pitch for his intensity and passion for the game.

“It is a pleasure to welcome Kyle Carr to CFC” said Peter Fuller, Head Coach, Chattanooga FC.  “Kyle comes to us from Lansing of USL One. He is a player that can play multiple positions, is a tenacious defender, a good passer, and an outstanding teammate. We are lucky to have him.”

Defender Sean Reynolds joins the  2020 campaign  after playing most recently with Saint Louis FC and Louisville City

Reynolds is a true professional, having played the last five years for professional teams in Iceland and here in the states.

“I’m looking forward to being a part of CFC and continuing my career” said Reynolds. “Bill (Elliott) has been asking me to come to Chattanooga for years... He’s told me a lot about the club and it’s tremendous fan base. So I look forward to seeing Finley packed!”

Sean began his career at the University of West Florida, under the tutelage of Chattanooga FC Technical Director Bill Elliott. Since then, Reynolds has played all over the country and even overseas, playing for Icelandic club Fimleikafélag Hafnarfjarðar (FH), where they won the Icelandic League Cup. But it was back here in the states where Reynolds saw the most success, winning the USL Cup with Louisville City alongside Chattanooga FC alum Niall McCabe in 2017. Additionally, Reynolds played for Saint Louis FC with Chattanooga FC Managing Director Jeremy Alumbaugh, where he helped lead the team to its first playoff appearance in team history.

“We are so pleased to welcome Sean Reynolds to CFC” said Peter Fuller, Head Coach, Chattanooga FC. “I have known Sean as a player for a long time. He has had a great career in the USL championship and as a former player of Bill Elliot’ts at University of West Florida. We are fortunate to have someone of his caliber to step in and play for us in our inaugural professional season. We welcome him warmly and know he will do a great job for our club.”
