The ex-girlfriend of Timmis said he has been sending threatening messages for an extended time.

In one he said, "Now show me wat law, wat man, wat parent, wat lock or weapon is going to save you from me. I swear you will pay with your blood for what you took from me."

A deputy said Timmis threatened to burn the woman or one of her family members with hairspray and a torch lighter. He told her, "These are the last hours of life as you know it. You better wear a (expletive) football helmet from now on."

Timmis told the woman in one text he was going to "peel your face back like an onion. Nobody can (expletive) save you. This is what I (expletive) do. I live for this."

The woman said while she was out of state that Timmis told her he had gone into her duplex unit, destroyed her Christmas tree and stolen her presents. She said he and his current girlfriend had taken an apartment next to her.

Deputies said it was found that second-floor screens were taken off from windows on the adjoining duplexes.
