Boys & Girls Clubs Announces 3 New Appointments To Board Of Directors

The Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga announced Friday that it has appointed Carol Barajas, vice president of Nuclear Oversight of TVA, Fred Eldorado, director of Production-Model Line of Volkswagen Group of America, and Kirby Yost, attorney at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel to its board of directors effective March 17.

"We are excited to welcome Carol, Fred, and Kirby as new directors to the Boys & Girls Club of Chattanooga board.” said Trae Vaughan, Board chair. “They each bring extensive leadership experience in key areas that are vital to our future operations and growth strategies.”

Carol Barajas is the vice president of Nuclear Oversight at TVA. Ms. Barajas has 28 years of experience in the Nuclear Utility sector filling in key roles including operations director and senior nuclear reactor operator. Prior to joining TVA in October 2019, she was vice president of Environmental Health and Safety for Duke Energy in Charlotte, N.C. and previous to Duke Energy, she was operations manager for Exelon Nuclear in Chicago, Il. Ms. Barajas and her husband of 28 years have two children and enjoy running and other outdoor activities. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in business from Lewis University in Romeoville, Ill.

Frederick “Fred” Eldorado serves as the model line director of Production at Volkswagen Group of America. He is a current member of the American Society for Quality and a Chamber of Commerce - Leadership Chattanooga Member, class of 2020. Since 2004, Mr. Eldorado has held various positions in Volkswagen, gaining more responsibility at each opportunity. Mr. Eldorado is a graduate of Baker College in Flint, Mi., where he completed his Bachelor of Business Administration. 

Kirby Yost is an attorney and shareholder at Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel. She began her practice as an associate for Chambliss, Bahner & Stophel in 2011. Ms. Yost is a member of the Chattanooga Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, Tennessee Bar Association, and American Bar Association. In addition to her professional associations, she serves on several community initiatives and boards. Ms. Yost is a two-time graduate of The University of Tennessee, earning a Bachelor’s of Arts degree and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Tennessee College of Law.
