Carol Henry Massey, 66, of Hixson, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 18, 2020, surrounded by her family.
Carol was a graduate of Tyner High School and attended ETSU and Chattanooga State. She was a member of St. Thaddaeus Church. Carol was a real estate agent for over 30 years, and was recently employed with Happy Home Realty.
Carol was an avid and celebrated golfer, winning many local golf tournaments. She was a member of Brainerd Golf Course and the Chattanooga Women's Golf Association.
Carol had many loving friends in the golfing community, and when she wasn't playing golf, she loved spending time with her grandsons.
Carol was preceded in death by her father, James "Wimpy" Henry and her grandson, Samuel Massey Johnson.
Left behind to cherish her memory is her mother, Bonnie "Randy" Henry (Clinton); daughter, Anna Massey (Chattanooga); son, David (Latisha) Massey (Hixson); grandsons, AJ Johnson and Zachary Massey; sister, Barbie (Mike) Foster; and many nieces and nephews.
A Celebration of Carol's Life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be sent to Hospice of Chattanooga.
Arrangements are under the care of Serenity of Cleveland, 3010 North Ocoee St.
