Peggy J. Byous, 84, left for her heavenly home on March 2, 2020. 

She was of the Baptist faith and a lifelong resident of Chattanooga, Tn. She graduated from Tyner High School and was most recently employed with Wilkins Research. Peggy was also employed for several years with local credit unions, where she had many dear friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert (Bob) and Jimmie Dean and brother Larry Dean.

Peggy is survived by one sister, Adeline Rogers; two sons, Claude Byous and Dennis (Susan) Byous; one daughter, Debbie (Joel) Black; one grandson, Travis (Cassidy) Byous; three great-granddaughters, all of Chattanooga. She has one niece and several nephews, also several friends she thought of as family. She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Kindred Hospice for their kindness and outstanding care.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice of Cleveland, Tn.

A graveside service will be held at Harrison Cemetery on Friday, March 6, at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Ted Smith officiating. Interment will follow. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
