CCS Sets May 15 Graduation Date For Seniors; Backup Dates Are June 12 Or July 10

  • Monday, March 30, 2020

Cleveland City Schools announced they plan to hold a graduation ceremony for seniors on May 15.

Officials said, "To our class of 2020 and families, this is certainly not what we expected for your senior year.  I know these times have been frustrating and you are heartbroken over the recent events that have impacted your time at Cleveland High School.  Please know that we stand by you during these trying times and are committed to ending your senior year in a way that honors your work and the impact you have had on our school.

"We are currently planning for graduation on May 15 at 6 p.m.  We have also planned two back-up dates in case the CDC restrictions on large gatherings continue.  Please mark your calendars for June 12 and July 10 at 6 p.m.  We intend to have all other senior events, pending our return to school on April 27.

"We will be distributing caps and gowns at a later date.  If you have questions regarding your orders, contact our Jostens representative, Matt Hughes, directly at matt.hughes@jostens.com."
