Billie Jo Compton
Billie Jo Compton, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, journeyed from her earthly life of 82 years into her eternal life with her Heavenly Father on Sunday, March 29, 2020.
Jo was a beautiful, kind, loving and compassionate Christian who devoted herself to her family, friends, and Godly service. She was deeply loved and held in high esteem by her family and friends.
She was the daughter of the late Floyd Ishmael Reed and Clara Ruth Quarles Catlett and was preceded in death by her loving husband of 50 years, Raymond Donald Compton.
She will be more than missed by those who held her near and dear including, her daughter, Kimberly Lynn Miller (Miles), of Eldorado Hills, Ca.; three sons, Michael Ray Compton, Sr. (Karen), of Chattanooga, Tn., Larry Bruce Compton (Gwen), of Pikeville, Tn., and Jeremy Kenneth Compton (Jennifer), of Lanoka Harbor, N.J.; eight grandchildren, Mackenzie Card, Michael, Brooke, Jonathan, Jared, Hayden, Haley and Georgia Rae Compton; four great-grandchildren, Carson Card, Autumn Compton, Sawyer Wilson, Nathaneal Compton; four sisters, Beverly Catlett (Jim), Tammie West, Kim Foster and Gloria Cobb; three brothers, Larry, Joe and Archie Reed; and several nieces and nephews.
Due to the current health care crisis the family will be holding a private family service. Interment will be in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
