Clary "Sunny" Jackson
Clary "Sonny" Jackson, 76 passed away March 30, 2020 in a local hospital. Clary was born May 21, 1943 in Chattanooga, TN. He was a member of Stanley United Methodist Church.
Clary graduated from Howard High School in 1961. He joined the United States Navy after high school and served until his retirement. Clary worked for many years as a supervisor at Long Beach Naval Shipyard and later relocated back to Chattanooga, TN. He was a loving father, and grandfather. Clary loved his family, traveling, and cooking.
Clary was preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Ora Jackson; siblings, Carolyn Jackson, Jerry Jackson, Mildred Andrews, and Evelyn McKibben.
Clary is survived by his loving wife and best friend, Deborah (Deb); daughters, Yolanda Jackson, of Las Vegas, NV, and Vallerie (Brian) Ramsey, of Applevalley, CA; grandchildren, Leonard Manning, Emonee Johnson, and Jalen Miller; siblings, Beverly J. Johnson, and Michael (Jennifer) Jackson, and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will honor Clary's life at a private ceremony held on Friday, April 3, 2020. He will be interred at the National Cemetery. His family wishes to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers during this time of bereavement, especially his church family of Stanley United Methodist Church.
