Elizabeth Carter
Elizabeth Dawson Carter, 76 years old of Jasper, Tennessee, gained her heavenly wings on Thursday, March 26, 2020.
Elizabeth was born on April 9, 1943, to the late Clyde and Berta Haggard Dawson. She was a member of the South Pittsburg Church of God.
She was preceded in death by her parents along with her brother, Ronald Dawson and sister, Sue Vanallman.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband of 58 years, Nellon Von Carter, Sr.; sons, Von (Christy) Carter (Jasper) and Travis Carter (South Pittsburg); daughters, Lorraine (Fred) Huckabee (Jasper) and LeAnn (Donnie) Moreland (Jasper); brothers, Ernest Dawson (Decherd), Melvin Dawson, (Rainsville, AL), Royce Dawson (Sequatchie), Phillip Dawson (Trenton); sisters, Carolyn Turney (Kimball) and Oma Dawson (Kimball); grandchildren, Whitney (Nathan) McCoy, Brandi Moreland, Brandon Carter, Nickalaus (Mattie) Carter, Paul (Langley) Moreland, Alex and Jaxon Moore; great-grandchildren, Kinsley and Kali Sowder, Knox Moreland, Thessa , Nikita, James and Ivory Carter, and Hudson, Ashton and Hadley McCoy along with several nieces and nephews.
There will be a private service and interment with family only on Saturday, March 28, with Reverend Donnie Moreland officiating.
Elizabeth will be laid to rest at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, Jasper.
