Lee University hosted Lee Day Live, a 24-hour opportunity for prospective students and their families to “virtually” discover life at Lee. The Saturday event ended with the annual scholarship drawing where eight participants were awarded scholarships. Three more students were awarded scholarships at a drawing a few days later.
Sarah Harris from Covington, Ga., received a $5,000 scholarship. Madison Roe from Maryville, Tn., received a meal plan for 21 meals per week, worth $4,000. Mackenzie Carroll from Davidson, N.C.; Justus Dennis from Soddy Daisy; Brooklyn Dobyns from Montgomery, Ohio; Ruth Grassi from Clayton, Ca.; Allie Kinard from Summerville, S.C.; Logan O’Halloran from Washington, N.J.; Sarah Sartor from Marietta, Ga.; Sydnee Tallent from Apison, Tn.; and Ian White from Colorado Springs, Co., each received a $3,000 scholarship.
Apart from the scholarship drawings, Lee Day Live participants also had opportunity to tour the campus, explore majors and academic programs, learn more about student clubs and ensembles, have coffee with Lee President Paul Conn, discover financial aid opportunities, meet “live” with faculty and staff (through Zoom), choose classes for fall semester, and engage with other students.
