Wanda Johnson Shamburger, 64, passed away on May 25, 2020.
 
She graduated from Howard High School Class of 1974 and Alabama A&M in 1979 specializing in special education. She taught in the Peace Corps in Utah.

Survivors include a brother, Ronald Johnson; sisters, Anna Jean Battle and Rosetta Johnson (Harry) Bryant; four nephews, Troy (Cynthia) Bryant, Patrick (Claudette) Johnson, Mark Battle and Barry Bryant;  niece, Kimberly Coletrane; a host of cousins and friends. A special thanks to her caregivers, Brent, Evelyn Dee Dee, Cynthia and a host of other friends and neighbors.

Public viewing will be held on Friday, June 5, from 3-6 pm. 

A private funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 6. Interment will be in Forest Hills Cemetery.
