Gary McCallie
Gary McCallie, Jr., an iron worker, pipefitter and resident of Dayton, Tn., passed away on Saturday morning, May 23, 2020, at the age of 52.
Gary was born on March 31, 1968, in Chattanooga, the son of Gary and Marty McCallie.
Gary was a graduate of Lakeview Fort Oglethorpe High School class of 1987. Gary McCallie Jr. was a wonderful son, brother, father and grandfather. He brought so much joy and laughter to every person he met. He was full of life and passion. A true friend, an encourager, and a comedian with a smile that would light up any room. He will truly be missed by all that knew him.
He is survived by his daughter EmaLee (Brett) Cross of Soddy Daisy, TN; grandson, Stone Cross of Lakesite, TN; parents, Gary and Marty McCallie; sister, Crystal (Shannon) Adams; brother, Chris (Rachel) McCallie; nieces, Callie Adams, Anna Adams, and Sarah Kate Adams, all of Dayton, TN; and nieces and nephews, Jacob McCallie, Caroline McCallie, and Victoria McCallie of Fort Oglethorpe, GA.
Visitation and Celebration of Life for family and close friends will be held on Friday, May 29, with drop-in between 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. at his home and sister’s residence at 746 Sunset Drive, Dayton, Tn. 37321.
