Clara “Marcella” Lawson Martin, 82, of Rossville, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2020, at a local health care facility.

 

She was a lifelong resident of the North Georgia area, graduated from Rossville High School class of 1956, retired from Coats of America and was a veteran with the United States Air Force.

 

Marcella enjoyed bird watching, flowers, archeology, and nature and will always be remembered for the love she had for her family.

 

She was preceded in death by her parents Jesse James Lawson and Bertha Pearl Massey Lawson.

 

Left to cherish her memory include her children Dale M. (Connie) Smith, Jessie L. (Beka) Rich and Tarrah Martin; five grandchildren, and ten great grandchildren.

 

The family wishes to thank the staff at Rosewood Assisted Living, NHC Rossville and Hospice of Chattanooga and Lane Funeral Home & Crematory, South Crest Chapel for their kindness, love and care.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital at 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tn. 37403

Burial will be held on Friday, May 29, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
