Harold Hitchcock, 69, of Chattanooga, passed peacefully at home after a short illness.

Harold worked as a security guard for Mohawk carpet for many years and loved traveling and spending time with his wife Nanette. He enjoyed antique cars and anything car related and spent his spare time piddling in his garage. He was an avid reader as well as a very active and involved grandparent who enjoyed all his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He will be greatly missed.

He was born on Sept. 6, 1950, and is survived by his wife of 32 years, Nanette, loving father of Samantha and Jimmy, Patrick and Rachel, John and Angel, Kim and Eric, Larry and Mandy, “Best Pappaw ever” of Allisha, Ivan, Derrick, Gabriel, Noah, Shane, Ava, Sierra Isabel, great-grandchildren, Tucker, Sawyer, Ryleigh, Taylor, Charlie, Addison, Evelyn, Emerigh, Kaygen; brother of Kenneth Hitchcock, Roy Hitchcock, Sue Hitchcock, Jody Harden, Edna Hitchcock, Catherine Baker.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Roy and Mildred Hitchcock, and brother, Ronnie Hitchcock.

The family will receive friends Monday, June 1, 2020 from 9am-4pm with Funeral Service to Follow in the Coulter Chapel of Lane Funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
