Helen Tilley
Helen Marie Tilley, 92, of Red Bank, Tennessee, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May 3, 2020. She passed peacefully in her home.
Marie was a devoted wife of 69 years, and she was a loving mother and grandmother.
She is survived by her husband, Luther Tilley; her son, Michael (Janet) Tilley; her daughter, Kathy Bowen; her granddaughter, Jasidy Jones; and her great-grandchildren, Addison Cordell, Chloe Cordell, and Ethan Cordell; her brother, Max (Gweldia) Neal; and lifelong friends who became family, Tucker and Anjean Beener.
She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Robert and Clara Neal, and her brothers Eugene Neal and J.L. Neal.
Marie was born December 24, 1927, in Pennine, Tn. She grew up in the Homesteads in Crossville, Tennessee. She graduated from Crossville High School and Nashville Business College. She retired from MassMutual Life Insurance in Chattanooga. She was a member of Red Bank Methodist Church, where she was active in the Shaw Murray Sunday School class.
It is Luther and Mike's desire to give special thanks to all the neighbors and friends who gave so much love and support throughout Marie's illness. They want to express special thanks to Amber Willis and Michele Johnson of Ardent Senior Care and to Hearth Hospice for the love and tender care shown to Marie and the family in her last days.
A private graveside service will be held at Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
