Ronald Lee
Ronald Joe “Ron” Lee, Sr., 72, of Rossville, passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2020.
He was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga and North Georgia area. Ron was a 1967 graduate of Lakeview High School and proudly served in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. While serving in the Air Force, he worked as an Air Craft Mechanic and was Honorably Discharged as Staff Sergeant in 1971. Ron went on to work for Tennessee American Water Company for 30 years retiring in 2005 and he was the owner of Kut Rate Tree Service. Ron had a strong work ethic and was one who would do anything for anybody. He loved to go hunting and he enjoyed his time fishing in Washington with his brother-in-law. Ron loved his family dearly and he loved being the ball coach for his sons while growing up.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sarah Lee; sister, Betty Crabtree; and brother, Robert E. Lee.
Survivors include his sons, Joey Lee and Michael (Jennifer) Lee; grandchildren, Brittany Summey, Gunner Lee, Lauren Lee, Lindsey Lee, Larsen Lee, and Landry Lee; mother of his sons, Kathy Lee; and several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project at 1349 W. Peachtree Street NE STE, Atlanta, Ga. 30309.
Due to the current health pandemic, the family will be having a private service with Reverend William Jacques officiating.
Interment will be in the Chattanooga National Cemetery.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the South Crest Chapel of Lane Funeral Home and Crematory, Rossville.
