Betty LeRoy Langford, 89, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Sunday, June 21, 2020.

Betty was born April 30, 1931, to the late Ed and Kate LeRoy, and was preceded in death by her loving husband, Charles Langford, and her brothers, Bob and Walter LeRoy.

Betty was an educator, having taught 25 years in the Dalton Public School System until she retired in 1994. Betty was an active member of Dalton First Baptist Church for 65 years, where she taught single and young married adults and worked in the Soul Food Ministry. She was ordained as a deacon in 2005.

She is survived by her children, Kathy (Ken) Russell, Reid Langford, and Betsy (Jim) Parker; and grandchildren, Kent and Katy Russell.

A private funeral service for Betty's extended family will be held at First Baptist Church, Dalton, on Thursday, June 25, at 2 p.m. The Church will live stream the service beginning at 2 p.m. (fbcdalton.org/streaming).

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Dalton Education Foundation, P.O. Box 1408, Dalton, GA 30722-1408 or to the First Foundation, P.O. Box 827, Dalton, GA 30722-0827.
