Onsight Opens New Studio In Cleveland

  • Thursday, June 4, 2020

Chattanooga-based Onsight announces the opening of its sleek new studio in downtown Cleveland on Inman Street near the city square. The Cleveland studio marks the company's second with three more slated to open this year.

Coming from other startups, co-founders Josh Johann, Christine Hagemeyer, and Matt Averyhart saw the need to bridge the gap between the medical world and the fitness world. They uniquely positioned the company at the intersection of personal training and preventative medicine and opened the first tech-enabled fitness studio designed for the everyday person in 2017.

“We’ve created not only a successful business model for growth and expansion in the fitness industry across the country, but our methods and technology truly help our clients for the long-term,” said CEO of Onsight Mr. Averyhart.

Onsight offers personal training and works with doctors and physical therapists to refer patients who need to find their place in fitness in order to manage chronic conditions, recover from medical procedures, or age in a safe and healthy way. Onsight also has experience training clients pre-surgery and in women's pre-/postnatal health.

“But we are more than just personal training,” said Mr. Averyhart. “We want our clients to relearn their bodies. So we educate and teach proper execution of exercises over the course of a few months and then our clients are able and confident enough to continue their training at home. We want them to be successful, independent, life-long advocates of fitness.”

The programs used at Onsight are based on scientific research that are effective and safe. The staff is highly educated, highly qualified, and highly caring to help any individual reach their goals through a highly customized approach. Which is why every client starts with the Onsight Assessment. During the 90 minute assessment, an Onsight exercise physiologist evaluates health history, injury history, physical limitations, exercise history, body composition,  vitals, in-depth postural and movement analysis, and cardiovascular fitness. As part of the grand opening, the physical assessment will be offered for free for the next two months.

“We believe that exercise is medicine and there isn’t just one medicine that helps everyone so that is why we take such a customized approach to be sure that our clients can reach their goals," said Mr. Averyhart. "This is the future of fitness."

MEASURE Data Data Data. We measure progress throughout training in order to strengthen our exercise prescription design, report to referral partners, and ensure optimal outcomes.

GRADUATE We train clients for 3-6 months. Once an individual has developed exercise confidence and exercise independence we  offboard them and encourage them to go Onsight life!

THE ONSIGHT METHOD

ASSESS The Onsight Assessment - a 90 minute evaluation of exercise history, vital measurements, functional movement, strength, balance, and VO2 Max, with an in depth movement education. The Onsight Assessment is designed to help relearn the body and gain perspective on how to personally achieve optimal long term physical health.

TRACK We track 7 of the most important fitness health metrics and educate the client on the importance of each.

REPORT The results of the Onsight Assessment are sent to the individual along with relevant exercise recommendations, self programming guidelines, and local resources that promote increased physical activity. The referring healthcare provider receives the initial report, ongoing progress reports, and final outcome data.

ONSIGHT When a client has finished 3-6 months of training and displays an understanding of exercise guidelines, health metrics, and exercise confidence we offboard them to community partners or home workouts for lifelong fitness.
