Jerry Christian
Jerry Leroy Christian, 74, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2020, with family at his side.
Jerry was born in Walker County, Ga., and moved to Chattanooga until his death. He served his country by joining the Air Force right out of high school. He was a young entrepreneur, running his own catering truck business until he retired. Jerry had a passion for gardening and grilling. He could turn a twig into beautiful shrubbery and tended his yard tirelessly. One of his favorite activities was smoking the most amazing smoked pork and chicken, which always brought his family together from all over East Tennessee. He was a very hard-working and humble man that loved a good laugh with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Tommy and Juanita, brother, Paul.
He is survived by his wife, Linda, daughters, Jeannie, Kristy, Ruthie, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private service was held on Friday, June 5, at Lane Funeral Home.
He will be laid to rest in Chattanooga National Cemetery.
