Robert Kevin Griffin, age 57, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020.
He was the husband of the late Mrs. Drusilla Lynn Griffin.
He was a former member of Local Laborer 324 and last employed at Securitas Security as a Security Guard in Concord, Ca.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Drusilla Lynn Griffin; grandparents, Willie Benjamin Griffin and Paulene Davis Griffin, James Ramsey and Rev. Frances Rivers Ramsey; aunt, Lillian Gaston; uncles, Earl Ramsey and Hugh Gene Griffin; and stepfather, Herman Luckey.
He is forever survived by his loving and devoted mother, Jimmie Lou Luckey; father, Robert Griffin; daughter, Alicia V. Griffin; granddaughter, Brionca E. Coleman; brothers, Tracy Lamar (Lernice) Dillard all of Dalton, Ga., Michael (Cathy) Luckey of Sacramento, Ca., Derrick (Annette) Luckey, of Pittsburg, Ca.; brothers-in-law, Alvin Brown Sr. of Vallejo, Ca. and Christopher Pearsall of Antioch, Ca.; sisters-in-law, Chanda (Jeffrey) Brown of Dalton, Ga., Barbara Allen, Marilyn Brown, and Dovie Brown, of Pittsburg, Ca.; special aunt, Willa Faye Willams of South Holland, Il.; aunts, Caroline Virginia Broome of Decatur, Ga., Gladiola Griffin of Dalton, Ga., Valencia Ramsey of Lithonia, Ga., Charlotte Griffin of Dalton, Ga., and great-aunt, Eva Lou Rivers of Dalton, Ga.; uncles, Benjamin Griffin of Dalton, Ga., Davis Griffin of Calhoun, Ga., Raymond (Lillie) Bonds of Dalton, Ga.; special cousins, Sonja Gaston and Veronica Purcell; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
Service will be held Saturday, June 13, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Willis Funeral Home with Rev. Rodney Weaver as eulogist. His remains will lie in state Friday, June 12, after noon until the service hour. Interment will be at West Hill Cemetery. The service will be live streamed through the funeral home's website.
