Linda Lou Pohlner Hughes, 70, a resident of Cleveland, Tennessee, passed away Thursday, June 4, 2020 at her home surrounded by her family. 

She was a member of the Peerless Road Church of God of Prophecy and had previously worked at the Church of God of Prophecy Headquarters.  She was born in Jonesboro, Ar., but had lived in Cleveland most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank Pohlner and Minnie Lawrence Boyer; step-father, Jesse Boyer; and brother, Wayne Pohlner.

She is survived her loving husband of 51 years, James Harold Hughes; one daughter, Carla Watson and husband Tony of Benton, Tn.; two grandchildren, Nathan Nix and Brad Nix, both of Cleveland; sister-in-laws, Melva Pohlner, and Wanda Mathews and husband Ken; and four nephews, Tim Frazier, Keith Frazier, Frank Pohlner, and Jon Pohlner.

A celebration of her life will be held Sunday, June 7, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Sam Clements and Pastor Adam Jones officiating.  Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens with Nathan Nix, Brad Nix, Frank Pohlner, Jon Pohlner, Keith Frazier, and Tim Frazier serving as pallbearers.  A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 7, prior to the service.
