Georgia and Tennessee stepped up respectfully Friday night for night #2 of 3 at Tony Stewart's Eldora Speedway in Ohio. After last place nods Thursday, in the $10,000 to-Win feature, Brandon Overton (#76) of Evans, Ga. and Jimmy Owens of Tennessee showed exactly why they're considered two of the top three Dirt Late Model racers in the country this year.

Owens lead early but Overton and Chickamauga's Dale McDowell wouldn't rest. Overton took over on a lap 20 restart and pocketed the $10,000 winnings over Owens and McDowell.

"Son of the Million Dollar Man" Devin Moran of Ohio was fourth with "Kidd-Rocket" Josh Richards of West Virginia fifth overall.

Saturday's finale pays $50,000 to the winner.

Meanwhile, closer to home, Wartburg (Tn.) Speedway hosted another Iron-man series event Friday night paying $4,000 to-Win. Kentucky's Josh Rice (# 11) waited til only a handful of laps remained in the 40 lap feature before wholesaling the lead and victory after running fourth most of the race.

Local racers Jordan Rodabaugh of Soddy Daisy was seventh, Ray Cook of Brasstown, N.C. was ninth, John Ownbey of Cleveland was 12th and last weekends big $10,000 winner, David Payne was 15th unofficially.

Crossville (Tn.) Speedway hosted a 604/Crate special event that was won by hometown racer Randy "The Dream" Weaver (# 116) worth $2,000.

Saturday races take place in Sweetwater and Seymour, Tn. near Gatlinburg to wrap up the weekend. Georgia races have been cancelled due to impending bad weather.
