Pianist For Several Local Churches

Daphna Brown Daffron was born on October 25, 1937, and because of her faith and trust in her Lord Jesus Christ, went to be with her heavenly father on Tuesday, July 14, 2020.

 

There to join her were here earthly parents, Raymond and Inez Brown and her sister, Renuau Brown Trantham, plus a host of family and friends.

 

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Terry Daffron, sons, Shan (Susan) Daffron, Damon (Denise) Daffron, two grandchildren, Mara and Luke Daffron; a sister, Delores (Douglas) Steele, a brother, Ray (Patricia) Brown; two aunts, and many cousins, neices and nephews.

 

She was a proud member of Spring Creek Road Baptist Church where she taught in the childrens department and sang in the choir. She was the pianist for several local churches.

 

She graduated from Central High School class of 1956. She was employed by Dixie Yarns and Spring Creek Eye Center.

 

Funeral arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home at 3239 Battlefield Parkway, Fort Oglethorpe, Ga. 30742, with Reverend Carl Hubbert Officiating.

 

Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, at the Heritage Funeral Home.

 

A service celebrating her life will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, July 17, at Spring Creek Road Baptist Church, 1312 Spring Creek Road in East Ridge, Tn. 37412. Visitation at the church will be two hours before the service. 

 

Burial will be at the Chattanooga National Cemetery on Holtzclaw Avenue on Monday, July 20, at 11 a.m.

 

Pallbearers will be Shan Daffron, Damon Daffron, Luke Daffron, Reverend Greg Steele, Cole Steele and Chad Brown. Honorary pallbearers will be the church deacons.

 

In lieu of flowers, do something wonderful for someone you love.

 

Arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home, Battlefield Parkway.
