Retired From The Banking Business And Worked With Four Paws Food Pantry For Dogs

Linda Royce R. Durden, 78, of Chattanooga, passed away on Monday, July 13, 2020.

Royce was born in Whitwell, Tn., to the late William L. and Molly Maurine Reeves. She was a 1959 graduate of Whitwell High School.  Royce retired from the banking business. She was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. She served as campaign manager for Debra Scott and Chip Henderson, successful bids for city council. Royce was employed with Four Paws food pantry for dogs. Royce loved her Lord, family, and dogs. She enjoyed making people laugh, and we know she is making folks smile in heaven. 

She was also preceded in death by a sister, Judy.

Royce is survived by her husband, Ed Durden; son Vic Pryor and wife Kathy; sister, Gayle May; nephew, Gary Gilley and wife Louanne and niece, Carrie May; and a host of other nephews and nieces. 

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, July 19, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A Celebration of Royce’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, July 20, at National Cemetery with Reverend Bill Harvey officiating.  We will leave from the funeral home on Monday at 10 a.m. and go in a procession to the cemetery.
