Tommy Joe Kirk
Tommy Joe Kirk, 83, of Dalton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2020 at home.
He was the son of the late James Willard and Margie Kirk and was also preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Doris Kidd Kirk, and infant son.
He was a member of Dalton Masonic Lodge 105 for 60 years and UA 72 of Atlanta. Tommy Joe opened Kirk Cycle in 1965 and was a mentor to many over the years. He loved John Wayne, Racing, and anything that went fast.
He is survived by his children, Debra Kirk, Tammy Jo Kirk (Joann Swartz) and Daina Silver (Tony); grandchildren, Erin Silvers, Nadya, Grigs and Mikhail Swartz; sister, Barbara Weaver (Henry); and special caregiver, Diann Lively.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 1, in the chapel of Love Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends on Friday, July 31, from 5-8 p.m. and then again on Saturday, Aug. 1, from 1-2 p.m.
Entombment will be in West Hill Cemetery.
