Gary Mitchell Suits, 70, of Cleveland, passed away on August 6, 2020. He was born on Jan. 9, 1950 to the late Deering and Louella Suits. Gary retired after 30 years at Kendall Electric of Cleveland. He served in the U.S. Army and was a Vietnam veteran. He was a member of the American Legion Post 81 and the VFW, DAV. Gary was also an avid Tennessee Vols fan.
In addition to his mother and father, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Bobby, Dwight, Donald, Mac, Steve, Rick and Terry Suits; and one sister, Tammy Suits.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of nearly 30 years, Bonnie Suits; stepdaughter, Deana Dukie and step-grandson, Zach Piotrowski; siblings, Dennis Suits (Barbara), Connie Anderson (late husband, Ronnie), Kathy Gillum (Dan), Kim Moore (John) and Ken Suits (Janey); many nieces, nephews and extended family that he loved like his own children; and special friend, Steve Drye.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 11 at Companion Funeral Home, with a celebration of life service to follow the visitation at 1 p.m. Gary will then be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 10:30 a.m.
