Richard Davis
Richard Louis Davis, 62, of Chattanooga, passed away on Saturday, August 15, 2020, in a local hospital.
He was a 1975 graduate of Brainerd High School. He was a member of Galilee Missionary Baptist Church. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Davis.
Survivors include his fiancée, Alice Chiles; sons, Richard Davis and Courtney Davis; daughters, Tynique Holloway and Jessica Davis, all of Chattanooga; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; mother, Minnie Mae Parker; brother, Winford (Gwen) Davis; uncle, John Morris Humphrey; aunts, Minnie Millsaps, Hannah Kelly, and Ruby Smith-Jackson, all of Chattanooga; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He will lie in state on Monday, Aug. 24, from 12-5 p.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Family services will be on Tuesday, Aug. 25, at noon in the chapel with Pastor Eric Jones as the eulogist.
Burial will be in Highland Memorial Gardens.
