Ruth W. Williams Doty
Ruth W. Williams Doty, 91, of Dalton, Georgia, departed this life Friday afternoon, July 31, 2020 at Regency Park Health Care Center.
Mrs. Doty was born in Ramhurst, Ga. on June 30, 1929. She was a daughter of the late John Anderson and Mary Eliza Faw Williams. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edward Doty who passed away in 1969; son, Jeffrey Alan Doty; son-in-law, Anthony Bartley; brother and sister-in-law, Bradley and Estella Williams; sisters and brothers-in-law, Lola Williams, Pauline and Burley Bowers, Nina and Tom Strickland.
Mrs. Doty was a member of Liberty Baptist Church for over four years.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Deborah and Ronnie Favors of Chatsworth, Tammy Bartley of Dalton, Penny and James Harris of Lithia, Florida; son and daughter-in-law, Stuart and Cheryl Doty of Tunnel Hill; grandchildren and their spouses, Lori and Damion Epps, Christopher and Summer Favors all of Chatsworth, Jimmy and Crystal Harris of Fayetteville, North Carolina, Christy Harris of Lithia, Florida, Mark Bartley and Christy Caldwell, and Clay Bartley all of Dalton; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin Epps, currently serving in the United States Air Force stationed in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Emma Epps, Lindsey Favors, Blake Favors, Austin Nichols, Dalton Nichols, Kamron Harris, and Holly Bartley.
Services to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ruth Doty will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 4, at 2 p.m. in Ponders Melrose Chapel. Reverend Mark Amspaugh and Reverend Richard Lane officiating.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, Aug. 4, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. service hour.
